Abstract
Background & objectives: The “redox” state represents the oxidation/reduction potential within the cell in a way that more “redox” is the marker of health, while the more oxidized reflects predisposition to diseases. Different types of exercise training may change the thiol/disulfide ratio of redox couples such as glutathione and represent a shift in redox balance. This study was assessed the influence of high-intensity aerobic exercise on glutathione redox state in red blood cells in professional, recreational athletes and nonathletes.
Methods: Ten voluntary well trained (WT), moderately trained (MT) and untrained men subjectswere randomly selected for this semi-experimental study (mean ages of 21.10±1.72 21.70±1.88 and 20.10±1.44, respectively). Blood samples were collected before, immediately, 10 min and 30 min after acute aerobic exercise with 75%VO2max. The levels of reduced glutathione (GSH), oxidized glutathione (GSSG) and (GSH/GSSG) in red blood cells (RBCs) as well as serum levels of cortisol and creatine kinase (CK) were measured.
Results: The results showed reduction, elevation and no changes in RBCs GSH/GSSG ratio in UT, MT and WT groups, respectively. The lowest levels of GSH/GSSG ratio in RBCs and the highest one were detected in the WT and MT groups, respectively. The serum levels of cortisol and creatine kinase were increased following the exercise in three groups.
Conclusion: It is concluded that acute aerobic exercise with high intensity does not change redox balance in well trained subjects, however it is capable to shift redox balance towards more reducing environment in moderately trained subjects and also to more oxidizing one in untrained subjects.

Abstract
Background & objectives: Construction of new service centers including hospitals is expensive and requires optimal site selection for these centers so that all citizens benefit from its increased productivity. It can also help them lower their costs. This study investigates the optimal locations for construction of hospitals in Ardabil using GIS software.
Methods: This is an applied research which incorporates a descriptive-analytic methodology. The data is made up of 11 criteria; proximity to densely populated areas, proximity to green space, closeness to main thoroughfares, proximity to fire departments and distance from existing hospitals, industrial centers, slopes, learning centers, cemetery, military bases and from sport facilities. They were all weighted using analytic network process (ANP) model.
Results: After performing the necessary calculations and evaluations, the highest and lowest weight of criteria belonged to the proximity to densely populated areas (0.229) and distance from the cemetery (0.033), respectively. According to the criteria weights and overlapping of layers, the most and least favorable locations for the establishment of hospitals were identified.
Conclusion: Results of the classification showed the best location for construction of hospitals in Ardabil city based on four municipal regions. In region one it belongs to the 8th, 5th, 2nd, and 11th districts in region two districts of 6 and 7 which cover southeastern edge of the city, in region 3 districts of 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10 which contain the western part of the city, and in region four it belongs to districts of 1, 2, 6, 7, 10 and 11 that encompass the blocks in the northern and north-western route of the city. These regions can be used for construction of new hospitals in order to improve people’s access to healthcare services.

Abstract
Background: Tooth decay directly and indirectly affects the national economy of some countries. These diseases reduce the number and productivity of the workforce. Medical expenses eat up savings and investments. All these factors reduce the earning power of individuals and households and affect the national economy, so an important part of the social and economic consequences of dental caries is the impact on savings at the household level and national income or gross domestic product at the national level.
Methods: The present study was descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional. The study sample was 260 6-year-old children and 260 adults who were referred to dental centers in 1401, and were randomly selected. The patients with tooth decay received services from the health and treatment centers of Ardabil city.
Results: The total cost of dental services related to tooth decay in 6-year-old children of Ardabil city was equal to 22543323 rials for one tooth, of which 94.23% of these costs are related to direct medical costs, 2.2% to indirect medical costs and 3.57% is related to non-medical indirect costs. The total cost of dental services related to tooth decay in the adult population of Ardabil city was estimated as 3,227,897 rials for one tooth, of which 95.93% of costs are direct medical costs, 2.43% of costs are direct non-medical costs, and 1.65% of costs are indirect costs.
Conclusion: Considering the high prevalence of tooth decay in 6-year-old children and adults in Ardabil city, its treatment imposes a significant part of the costs on Ardabil households, and the limited supply of dental services in the public health sector and the lack of insurance support in paying the costs have caused that families often pay for private services out of their own pockets.
