Abstract
Background & Objectives: Depression is the most common psychological problem in patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). The present study was conducted to determine the rate of depression in chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients. Methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study. 120 chronic HD patients who referred to dialysis ward of Shahid Beheshti Medical University (SBMU) hospitals were selected through an available (non-random) sampling and after exclusion of 20 patients due to study’s exclusion criteria, all were assessed for depression, using Beck’s Depression Inventory (BDI). Statistical analyses were preformed by SPSS (rel 11.5) using analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent t-test, Chi- Square and coefficient of correlation. Results: Totally, considering the intensity of depression, 69% of patients were in depression spectrum (BDI>9), but the rate of depression was 45% (BDI >15) among chornic hemodialysis patients. There was no significant difference between the intensity of depression and various parameters, but unemployment associated with higher rate of depression (p=0.018). Conclusion:It seems the screening of HD Patients with BDI followed by referring the depressed patients to a psychiatrist for more evaluation is necessary so that at least some of the suffering, morbidity and mortality of the patients will be diminished.

Abstract
Background & Objective: Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) develop as recognition and defense against malignant cells by the host immune system. T cells are the most tumor infiltrating immune cells. There are controversial data about intratumor T cells and many have proposed diverse mechanisms for dysfunction of TILs. The aim of this study is analyzing Tumor Infiltrating T lymphocytes in patients with breast cancer by immunophenotyping. Methods: Sixteen women suffering from breast cancer were examined thirteen of them were confirmed histologically to be invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Tissue samples from patients and matched control group were processed for analysis by flow cytometry. Results: Results indicated that human breast cancer contain variable numbers of TILs. No significant changes in the percent of intratumor CD45+, CD3+ and CD3+/CD45+ cells were observed between studied group. Also there were no significant differences between cancer patients (group 1 and 2) and control group in the case of infiltration and activation status of T cells subpopulations. CD4+ cells in IDC patients and CD8+ cells in patients with other tumors (ILC+AMC) were the most infiltrated TILs. Intratumor TCD8+ cells expressed HLA-DR markers significantly more than CD25 as activation marker. In this investigation we could not find any correlation between TIL and both size and clinical stages of tumor. Conclusion: An immune infiltrate is an invariable finding in breast cancers, with considering the activation marker expression, TIL may be activated, albeit partially. Understanding the insensitive and/or suppressive nature of cancer cells to the immune system may provide important insights into tumor escape mechanisms as well as the development of anti-cancer strategies.

Abstract
Background & objectives: Cataract is the most common cause of blindness in the world and it is estimated that about 100,000 cataract surgeries are performed annually in Iran. The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of different morphological types of cataract and some related causes in patients undergoing surgery at Noor Surgery Center in Ardabil.
Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed on 780 patients referred to the Noor ophthalmology clinic in Ardabil with cataract diagnosis. The data were collected using a checklist by the researcher. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 25 software and descriptive statistical methods.
Results: Of the 1,018 eyes (780 patients), 590 eyes (58%) were related to women and 428 eyes (42%) were related to men and the mean age of all patients was 65.88±11.43. the mean grade of posterior subcapsular cataract (PSC), nuclear and cortical cataracts were 4.56±0.62, 4.79±0.89 and 4.21±0.48 respectively. There was a significant difference between normal retina diabetics (p=0.034), pseudo exfoliation syndrome (PEX) (p=0.001), hyperopic (p=0.008), corneal opacity (p=0.036) and patients with nasolacrimal duct obstruction (NLDO) (p=0.032) and other patients in terms of cataract type (p=0.034). There was no significant relationship between other comorbidities and cataract type.
Conclusion:According to the results of the present study based on the significant relationship of some diseases with different morphological types of cataracts, accurate preoperative
evaluation and planning for associated comorbidities is recommended.
