Abstract
Background & Objectives: Respiatory Distress Synderome (RDS) is one of the major risks of elective cesarian section whose negative health and econemical outcomes are obvious. Maternal prophylactic injection of corticosteroid drugs can reduce RDS of neonate to some extent. On the other hand corticosteroid drugs have some side effects such as delay in the healing of the incision. This study considered the effect of betamethasone on surgical incision. Methods: This study was conducted on 60 primipara women divied into two equal groups that were candidate for elective cesarean. We injected betamethasone (IM) to trial group twice 48 hours poior to operation, (every 24 hours) and complication of surgical incision was clinically evaluated within 7 days after operation in both groups. The data were collected and analyzed by SPSS software chi-square and Fisher tests. Results: Most patients (60%) were 20-30 years old and the average age in both groups was 21. The relative frequency of patients with complication of surgical incision in trial group (betamethasone recipients) was 30% and in control group was 23.33% (the difference between them was not statistically significant). The most common complications were erythema and hyperemia. Other complications observed in 15% of the patients included serousal discharge, local warmness and enduration. Rgarding these complications also there wasn’t a statistically significant difference between two groups. Conclusion: Betamethasone does not increase early onest complications of surgical incision and we can safely use betamethasone prophylactically for fetal maturion in elective cesareans.

Abstract
Background & Objectives: Ceasarean section (CS) has increased in rate during the past years. Due to postoperative complications, long recovery time and high costs of surgery, normal delivery is recommended as a routine method. Regarding the increase in the number of CS and its acceptability on the part of the public, it seems that women’s as well as health personnels' attitudes play an effective role in selecting the termination method. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare pregnant women’s and health personnels' attitude toward termination procedures. Methods: This was a descriptive and comparative study. 84 health personnels and 300 pregnant women who referred to Ardabil health centers in 2002 were selected. These subjects' attitudes were collected through Likert questionnaire and the collected data were analyzed by SPSS, using t-test. Results: The findings showed that 30.1% of women and 50% of health personnels had positive attitudes towards normal delivery. The findings also indicated that there was a significant difference between pregnant women and health personnels in their attitudes toward normal delivery and cesarean (p=0.001). Conclusions: Since health personnels had a more positive attitude towards normal delivery than pregnant women did, it seems that the young as well as the pregnant individuals in society need more education and awareness to be able to change their attitudes towards delivery methods. Health personnel, due to their high positive attitude towards normal delivery, can play a more beneficial role in this regard.

Abstract
Backgrond & Objectives: Oligohydramnios is a disorder which is followed by unpleasant outcomes for fetus that can lead to termination of pregnancy before term and preterm delivery. For these patients' increase in gestational period and prevention of preterm delivery is the most important act. In this study the effect of intravenous and oral hydration therapy in increasing duration of gestation in patient with oligohydramnios was evaluated. Methods: In this study, the population was devided into two case and control groups with 30 female individual who were found to have oligohydramnios in course of hospital admission according to on sonographic results. Patients were randomly put in case or control groups. Case group were given 3-4 liter normal salin for 1 week and then were given oral hydration solution until the end of pregnancy, In each group whenever it was found that pregnancy was not possible the pregnancy continuance was stopped. Data collection was through history, physical examination completing relevant questionnaire and findings of sonography and in order to see the relationship among finding s, kitest and t-test from SPSS software were used. Results: The age means of case and control groups were 25 and 24 respectively. The mean of pregnancy duration from the diagnosis time in case group was 30.2 weeks and in control group 31.8 weeks. The mean of pregnancy terminatior in case group was 34.6 weeks and in control group 34.2. In increasing duration of pregnancy in case and control group. It was concluded that intravenous and oral Hydration therapy cause incerease in duration of pregnancy in patients suffering from oligo Hydraminos. According to the results of this study and significance of the difference.

Data were analyzed through SPSS. Results: In 3.8%, the onset of obsessive disorder was with the first menstruation period. In 12.5% it was during pregnancy. In 57.1% (4) of obsessive samples onset of obsessive was in second pregnancy. In 16.24% onset of OCD was after delivery. Abstract
Background & Objective: As cancer of cervix is one of the important facts, for women and probably causes in presence, furthermore early diagnosis and management in primary stages is very effective for prognosis of the disease and survival, the aim of the study was to measure the probable relationship of contraraceptive devices with cervical lesions. Methods: This study was a descriptive analytic study that was done by referring to all pathologic center (6 centers) in Ardabil and reviewing 399 reports of pap smear through sampling method (one of them because of chemotherapy was excluded from the samples) Results: In this study 90 persons 22.5% of pop smear’s study were normal and 309 persons 77.5% were abnormal that include nonspecific cervicitis (298 persons) specific cervicitis (192 persons) and epithelial cell abnormality (105 persons) Regarding the use of contraceptive devices, 15 persons didn't use any device 3.8% And 172 persons 43% were using one of the natural methods or tubal ligation, and 131 persons were using OCP pills 32.9% 63 persons were using IUD 15.8% 18 persons 4.5% were using condom, and also DMPA was not used. Through chi test it was found that there was significant relationship between contraceptive methods and epithelial cell abnormality (p=0.008) and imperavite cervicitis (p=0.001). There was a meaningful relationship. Conclusion: There was a meaningful relationship between using contraceptive methods and nonspecific cervicitis.

Abstract
Background & Objectives : One of the limitations in management of patients suffering from decreased level of consciousness due to drug poisoning is the inability to interview the patient. The aim of the study was to compare characteristics of the two subgroups of these patients those who had a suicidal attempt history with others. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 19 patients with suicidal attempt history and 66 patients without this history were selected among patients who were admitted for drug poisoning to referral poisoning hospitals in Tehran, Iran, in August, September and October 2009. All of them had decreased level of consciousness due to unknown drug poisoning. Demographics, poisoning characteristics, past medical history and substance use history of the patients were recorded. Results: Different between previous history of suicide action with drug material decreased level of consciousness caused by poisoning, was significantly (p=0.04). Mental disease (p > 0.01), number of tablets consumed (p=0.02), interval between drug consumption and emergency forces to reach the place (p= 0.021), described in deliberate self poisoning patients (Self Poisoning) (p=0.001), decreased level of consciousness grade (p=0.046), U.S. fail initial level of consciousness after emergency measures (p=0.02) and the need for health care and advanced next (p= 0.013) in patients with decreased level of consciousness with a history of previous suicide compared with other group were higher. Significant difference between the two age groups (P> 0.05), gender and history of illegal drug use (P> 0.05) did not exist. Conclusion: According to these findings, when dealing with patients suffering from decreased level of consciousness due to unknown drug poisoning, paying attention to history of suicidal attempts in these patients can help medical professionals in determining more effective treatment options for them. Medical staff should also record previous suicide as a risk factor in the risk assessment to consider the disease.
